There is a tendency in Malaysia for every politician, on assuming the post of Prime Minister, to declare that he will get rid of corruption as a priority. And the fucking electorate is scammed into believing that at last, they have an anti-corruption champion. Big deal!
However, and since 1957, the day of our alleged “Independence” (some 67 years and counting, 2024-1957) we are still fighting corruption. Like prostitution, we cannot get rid of this corruption scourge. Our freaking lawyers (with accountants riding on pillion), the so-called “defenders of clean government” is the band that plays the music to excite you to sing the chorus “we must have a new government and get rid of corruption”.
The Legal and Accounting Professions are part and parcel of the Deep State (there are members who are the exceptions). They never address the main issue that “Power Addiction” is the worst form of corruption, not the diversion of funds, for such monies are merely means to an end – power perpetuation! Period!
Every race and or “racial / religious community” have “selected spokespersons” in Congress, Parliaments, National Assemblies, to champion the interests of the racial / religious communities they represent. Without exceptions, they are all bought and paid for (directly or indirectly).
