Elites Are Elite—In Name Only

My good friend, John, who in his 90’s (to whom I owe much of who I am as a man), is running for school board in SoCal. He texted: Why r u so hard on the elites? Should they not be in leadership roles? This question needs taken seriously—and head-on. After one of my articles, John responded to my criticism of Janet Yellen, if I remember correctly, as a kind, intelligent woman. Well I just cannot abide that. To my mind, Janet likely back-bites with the best of them. Her economic acumen is not worthy of gracing the back of a bar napkin and her recent trip to China where she went a-begging for favors while admonishing China for overproduction—was way over the top.
Janet Yellen may be a nice woman when compared to some in a pack of hyenas that make up the elite. Who get included in that pack? Anyone with influence and power over our political and economic lives. With a further caveat—those who, from utter stupidity, or having crossed the line into evil, no longer need to be referred to as human.
