President Vladimir Putin met with senior military commanders to review the progress of Russia’s special military operation. Addressing Colonel General Evgeny Nikiforov and other top officers, Putin praised Russian troops for liberating nearly 5,000 square kilometers and over 200 settlements, commending their “selfless devotion and brotherhood in arms.” He reiterated that the strategic initiative is now entirely with the Russian Armed Forces, emphasizing the defense industry’s vital role in supplying precision weapons and advanced equipment.
Putin also condemned Kyiv’s “desperate strikes on peaceful targets,” asserting that such actions will not alter the outcome. The meeting included reports from General Valery Gerasimov on frontline advances in Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, with Russian units continuing to press their offensive in all directions.
