“When I Think Back on all the Crap I Learned in High School—It’s a Wonder I Can Think at All.” Kodachrome—Paul Simon.

Some things you may or may not know. America’s great progression to becoming an productive, economic powerhouse happened without a Department of Education— which came into being in 1979. For the last 3 decades, according to the DOE itself, there has been no educational progress. In terms of proficiency skills, rated by the DOE, student achievement gets an F, but rates itself an A for higher graduation rates.

The logical imperative being that the citizens the government wants, dumbed-down, unable to do math/read, are being graduated. And, as I pointed to in my last article, science, is now traded for advocacy, without a math/reading component/requirement.
