I trust Tun Mahathir Mohamad, former Prime Minister (twice) will recall what he told me, on 31st October, 2003, on the last day of his premiership, in Putrajaya:

“If there are problems that I cannot solve in 22 years, continuing as Prime Minister would not make any difference.”

Having achieved so much for the country and the Bumiputera community specifically, it was a moment of reckoning for me and I was jolted by the sincere and frank acknowledgement that Tun has done his best, and it is time for others to resolve the problems that Tun could not resolve, even after 22 years.

The time-line that I had referred in my previous article, “Pros & Cons etc.” supports my assertion that Tun’s successors failed in solving the problems after pushing for Tun’s retirement and claimed that they would be more than capable of solving the problems. Tun Abdullah Badawi and his posse of green horns unleashed the wrecking ball from day one. The damage became irreparable when the Malaysia was financially raped and plundered by Najib by the 1MDB fiasco!
